Competentia opens in Qatar
Meet Mike O’Kane, leading our latest new office in Qatar.
This month, Competentia opens a new office in Doha, Qatar; it is the latest expansion to Competentia’s growing global footprint. The team will work closely with operations in the Americas, Europe, Africa and APAC to bring Competentia’s strategic recruiting services to new and existing customers.
Heading the operation is Mike O’Kane, a veteran of the global recruitment industry with a long track record in the industries and sectors in which Competentia has grown its international portfolio.
Mike began his career in the Royal Navy, spending sixteen years in engineering, before joining the private sector as a recruiter in the mid 1990’s. During his twenty years in recruiting, he has worked in a variety of roles, including country manager in Qatar for one of the world’s largest energy focused recruiting company.
Mike’s experience also includes Australia, UAE, Oman and his native UK.
“We’re thrilled to have brought Mike into the organization,” said Jayden Wallis, CEO.
“His skills and experience will be invaluable to the next chapter of our global business. Wherever we go in the world, our first priority is bringing in first class talent to service our clients and contractors. Taking on someone of his experience and reputation is a huge win for us, and we’re excited to be up and running in Qatar where we feel our LNG experience will be of great value to projects and employers.”
The move into Qatar follows Competentia’s recent office expansions in Canada, France, Uganda and Mozambique. To find out more about our global operation, visit Our World, or contact Mike directly at email@example.com
