Congratulations to Cameron LNG on a major project milestone
Competentia has worked with Cameron LNG since 2015
Competentia is delighted to congratulate Cameron LNG, as production begins from Train 1 of their Liquefaction Export Facility in Hackberry, Louisiana.
Commissioning on Train 1 began last November, with testing of incoming gas flow commencing last month. In just a few weeks the project expects to begin loading their first LNG cargos for export.
Ultimately, the first three liquefaction trains that make up Phase 1 of this development will export 12 million tons of LNG each year, equal to 1.7bn cubic feet every day.
“Reaching this important milestone of first LNG production is truly a credit to the team at Cameron LNG and the work they’ve done to reach this point,” said Lisa Glatch, COO of Sempra LNG and board chair for Cameron LNG.
“Cameron LNG expects to load cargoes in the coming weeks – another major step forward to bringing cleaner, affordable energy to global markets.”
Competentia has been providing experienced LNG project development specialists to Cameron LNG since 2015 and to-date, has almost 500,000 incident free man hours in place.
“We’re excited to see Cameron LNG achieve this major Milestone,” said Aaron Dowds, Competentia’s US President.
“We’re proud of the contribution that Competentia’s people have made as part of this incredible project team; it remains a great honor to be involved, and we look forward to all of the milestones that lie ahead.”
The project has received national attention, including today’s visit by President Donald Trump.
