One of our clients on the operator side is looking for a Hull & Mooring Engineer

Key Accountabilities
  • Ensure the Naval architectural inputs to the BOD are up to date and being implemented
  • Ensure the hull, mooring system, geotechnical and metocean design inputs to the BOD are up to date,
  • Undertake See to it duties for document review, procurement surveillance and construction support.
  • Participate in HAZOPs and other process safety activities during the design phase,
  • Participate in Peer Assists, Peer Reviews, HSSE reviews and Value Improving Workshops.
  • Be a pro-active member of the Project Team performing any tasks necessary to make the project a success.
  • Liaise with Operations to ensure that maintainability issues are addressed in the design phase,
  • Work with the company Interface Engineers for Contractor for the company to Interfaces ( SURF )
  • Work with FPSO Contractors Interface Engineers to ensure that internal interfaces between topsides, turret and hull systems are adequately controlled.
  • Define required contractor design deliverables to allow the company to assess the capabilities and performance of the proposed FPSO concept, (including stability, motions, mooring system, hull fatigue performance and overall compliance with regulatory and class requirements),
  • Perform review and cross-checks of contractor hull designs,
  • Perform review and cross-checks of contractor mooring system designs,
  • Provide input to installation engineering and procedure development.
