Competentia is one of Houston Business Journal’s Best Places to Work 2020
Exciting News from Competentia in Houston
We’re delighted to announce that Competentia has been selected as one of Houston’s Best Places to Work 2020.
The highly competitive annual awards recognize great places to work in H-Town and we’re incredibly proud of our local team and its leadership for this accomplishment.
The award decision involves a three month process which engages all the staff in the business unit, getting to the truth of how they feel about their employer and its efforts to provide a supportive and nurturing business environment.
“We’re delighted to be recognized for something that’s so important to us,” said Aaron Dowds, Competentia’s North American President.
“Business Awards can draw mixed responses, because its often unclear what they’re really recognizing. But when the process involves all of your staff, and goes into real detail about everything you’re genuinely trying to provide them on a day-to-day basis, it’s really exciting to find out you’re getting it right.”
This year the awards carefully examined critical areas for employees, including work life balance, healthcare, financial support and response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Competentia scored highly in its approach to diversity, inclusivity and supporting the local community.
“This is all about the team as a whole and everything that they’ve built together as a unit,” Dowds added.
“It’s particularly impressive during a year that’s provided so many challenges for everyone, and we want to congratulate everyone who was nominated alongside us, and congratulate the HBJ for their twentieth year running the awards. We’ll try to be back next year.
